Koi Knives was founded by Shannon Dolman and Ramon Elzinga.

Whilst we are both knife obsessed we could have remained knife obsessed and just looked after ourselves.

What we discovered over the years was as we upgraded our knives we actually upgraded our entire dinner experience - either with the partner, family or even alone.

When we hold the right tool in our hand we feel that what we are about to do is important, that tonight's dinner is a moment in life that can never been done again. A bit like driving a nice car or wearing nice set of clothes when you get it right you just feel different - you have more memorable moments.

So we started Koi Knives. We hope to improve the experience of dinner for many.
